The group BTS has won awards for five consecutive years at the American Music Awards (AMA), one of the top three popular music awards ceremonies in the United States.
On the 20th (local time), AMA announced BTS' award on its website before the awards ceremony was held.
In the "Favorite Pop Duo or Group" category, BTS won the trophy, beating out outstanding candidates such as Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Maneskin, and One Republic.
BTS made their first connection with this awards ceremony when they won the 'Favorite Social Artist' category in 2018, and have since won the award for five consecutive years until this year.
In the category of 'Favorite Pop Duo or Group', it has set a record of winning the award for 4 consecutive years since 2019. In particular, last year, he became the first K-pop singer to win the 'Artist of the Year', which corresponds to the grand prize at this ceremony.
